Clock Screensavers - Time Never Stops
Screensavers were earlier used to protect the screens of computers. Now with latest technology, that is no more required. People still download screensavers in large quantities and enjoy watching them on the desktop. A beautiful visual of the screensaver can take us away from our daily stresses and relax our mind by showing us waterfalls, trees, rivers, ocean and clouds in the sky. Birds look equally enchanting, and if you watch a butterfly that can mesmerize you on your desktop. Screensavers with great visual are very effective in removing stress. Try them whenever you feel stressed or under tension.
Clock screensavers combine a ticking clock on a screensaver. When you look at the scenes with the clock hand-moving non-stop on the screensaver the message is very poignant. Time never stops. Since billions of years, the only thing that has always gone ahead and never turned back is time. Time always moves forward and the clock never turns back. A clock screensaver on the screen reminds us about how valuable this time is. We are all given short lives. Every second counts. Utilizing time to do something good is the best way to spend time. Use time to achieve your goals and use time to help others.
A majority of us take time for granted. We always believe that we have enough time left to do so many incomplete jobs. But that is not so. We dont know how much time is allotted to us by nature. We dont know when we shall go away to the great beyond. A clock screensaver tells us not to delay saying a Thank You or apologizing. Not to delay helping anyone in need. Who knows tomorrow may never come for us. This is the message of Clock screensavers.
Using Search Engines To Connect With New Local Customers
Your customers are more and more often searching for businesses like yours on the Internet. Studies show that these customers have a serious buying intent. As a local business (online or off) you need to figure out how to cost effectively reach out to these Local customers and start the business relationship before your competition does.
Why should local search marketing be important to your business? The Kelsey research group found:
74% of households use the Internet as an information source when shopping locally.
Approximately 45% of local searches had a buying intent.
The percentage of respondents who used yellow page directories decreased from 75% to 62%. (If you have a yellow page ad, it is time to consider buying a smaller ad and shifting your marketing dollars to the Internet.)
As local business owners you need to take action now. You need to keep your existing customers, and gain new customers, so you need to be found where they are searching. Local Search Marketing is where your future clients and customers will come from.
So where do you start?
Most likely your customers will have a default setting on their computers and this will be set to one of these sites for search; Google, Yahoo, MSN or AOL. These search engines all index web pages and have some form of paid advertising referred to as Pay Per Click. This is fine if you have a website but what about many small and local businesses that have little or no web presence at all? And even if you do have a website, does it show up in the search engines above?
Okay, so what other choices have you got?
There are those folks, you know whom I am talking about, who will place you not only in a hard copy directory but also have services online. The challenge is in what the financial cost is, BIG, but hey, they have been around a long time and have deep pockets. The other issue is that they often advertise in the search engines and you will find them there BUT if you follow the link to them, you need to do your search all over again! What a pain.
There are other commercial "local search engines" and some of these are good value but many are not comprehensive. If there are only a few thousand businesses in a local directory most users will leave given the limited amount of content.
So what you need to do is use a search engine like Google and search for "local search directory", make sure you limit your search to the country youre in. The results include Yahoo local search and a number of local directories. You should check these out and see what it takes to participate in the directories that make the first page of the Google search. By doing so, youll be able to get a feel for how they work and what is needed for you to get listed competitively
Advertising Your Website With Pay-Per-Click
By advertising your website with pay-per-click, you are helping to advertise your business in what is usually an inexpensive way that is growing larger and reaching more people everyday. You can also tailor your pay-per-click advertising to fit your business or company budget needs. This is a plus for those of you who are starting out on a budget and want to stay away from paying a lot for advertising that may or may not be seen. By advertising your website with pay-per-click, your ad is surely going to be seen. More advantages to advertising your website with pay-per-click include the speed of advertising, the increase in traffic to your website, and the ability to research and compare data to see what works best for your website.
There are times, however, when advertising your website with pay-per-click can prove to be costly. For example, it will cost you more to use competitive keywords than it will to use ones that are not as competitive. Finely tune your keyword strategies. You can find information on the Internet on this or you might want to consider consulting a professional. Also remember not to bite off more than you can chew. Start with one pay-per-click provider first, using ads you have tested, and then extend your campaign accordingly.
Advertising your website with pay-per-click can be a very quick, inexpensive way to get your website and business rolling. Drawbacks can always pop up, but if you educate and prepare yourself, you will be able to make the most out of advertising your website with pay-per-click.
Online Shopping Boom Getting Bigger
As the industry of online auctions continues to boom, the level of competition among the retailers also keeps getting higher. This competition makes the online shops to be very alert and updated on what the other stores are selling to make sure that it would be their prices that would be most appealing for online consumers.
It is extremely easy to find and buy anything and everything online. The diversity of the online shopping marketplace is amazing because of its global aspect. You have endless possibilities. For the convenience of online shoppers, the number of discounts in internet stores have also been growing continuously.
There are literally thousands and thousands of online stores that continue to thrive and they all provide businesses and individuals with an electronic method of buying services and products. They provide the access to the widest variety of merchandise in the comfort of their offices or homes.
Here are some of the more popular online stores or marketplaces that truly provide great products offering and service.
1. eBay
eBay is probably the most famous online auction. Consumers are able to find all kinds of items - from books to gardening tools to appliances to clothing to baby products to electronic gadgets and even cars and real estate.
2. Amazon
This would be perhaps the second largest online store, which hosts both online stores and auctions. Although Amazon also offers the same products that eBay sells, their reputation mainly lies on the category of books and video entertainment.
3. Wal-Mart
Wal-Mart is an online store, which offers a wide range of merchandise as well. However, they also offer internet services, as well as questions regarding taxes at the start of the year. This makes Wal-Mart a great place to shop and get information.
4. QxBid

To Reach Your Potential, Think In Terms Of Improvement
1. Chose a Life of Growth -- When you sincerely dedicate yourself to continual growth, you keep moving forward. As soon as you think you can coast or rest or just maintain what you have already achieved, that is when you start sliding backwards.
2. Growing Today -- Procrastination is the death of ambition and dreams. Someday is not a day of the week. Growth is not automatic. Growth today will provide a better tomorrow. Growth is your responsibility - if you don't take that responsibility, growth will never happen.
3. Be Teachable -- "It's what you learn after you know it all that counts". John Wooden, former UCLA basketball coach said this. He recognized that the greatest obstacle to growth isn't ignorance, it is knowledge. When we think we know it all, we become unteachable and can no longer grow or improve.
4. Focus on Self-Development, Not Self-Fulfillment -- Self-fulfillment is about feeling good. With self- development, feeling good is a byproduct, not a goal. Self-development is a higher calling, it's the development of your potential so that you can attain the purpose for which you were created.
5. Never Stay Satisfied with Current Accomplishments -- Thinking that you have arrived when you accomplish a goal has the same effect as believing you know it all. It takes away your desire to learn. Successful people know that wins and losses are both temporary. So no matter how successful you are today, don't get complacent. Stay hungry. Don't settle into the Comfort Zone. From success, move on to greater growth.
6. Be a Continual Learner -- To keep moving, become a perpetual learner. You'll have to carve out time for it. As Henry Ford said, "It's been my observation that most successful people get ahead during the time other people waste." Learning something every day is the essence of being a continual learner.
7. Concentrate on a Few Major Themes -- Give your time and energy only to the themes at the heart of your life. Keep your focus narrow. Where you focus your attention will depend on your purpose, how you wish to help others and what it means for you to reach your potential.
8. Develop a Plan for Growth -- The key to this life is developing a plan: Plan your work and work your plan. Earl Nightingale says "If a person will spend one hour a day on the same subject for five years, that person will be an expert on that subject." How you go about it does not matter, but do it daily.
9. Pay the Price -- Growth requires discipline. It takes time away from leisure pursuits. It costs money for materials. There's constant change and risks. And it can be lonely. But growth is always worth the price you pay because the alternative is a life of unfulfilled potential. President Theodore Roosevelt stated: "There has not yet been a person in our history who led a life of ease whose name is worth remembering."
10. Find a Way to Apply What You Learn -- In some way apply what you learn every day to turn it into a habit instead of a wish. Do this for 21 days and the habit is yours. As you accumulate growth this way, you never stagnate or backslide.
Why Most Leadership Development Efforts Fail
George was ecstatic! He loved the organization and wanted to move up and contribute as much as he could. He saw this opportunity as a positive step in that progression. Plus, he had some challenges in his job that he hoped he could learn how to deal with more successfully.
After he found out he was slated to attend, George didnt hear much more about the training until about a week before it began. The email gave him all of the details and he was excited all over again. Excited, that is, until he looked at his calendar and saw how much he had to do.
Because the training meant so much to him, he was determined to be focused while he was there, so he worked hard to get his projects all caught up before he left for the workshop.
George loved the workshop! The facilitator was great, the content was helpful, and the food was even good! He was so motivated by the new ideas and the people he met. He gained in confidence as they practiced some of the things they learned. As a part of the program he built an action plan. He left the two days completely stoked about what he had learned and how he would be able to apply it.
After the Workshop
George awoke the next morning and reviewed his action plan. He was excited because he knew what he would do to be a better leader, starting today. Then, George got back to work. As he fired up his computer he checked his voice mail.
23 messages.
His heart sank a little. As he listened to the messages, taking notes when needed on his next steps, he opened up his email and found an even more depressing sight. 91 emails. A quick glance found that there was little fluff there it wasnt 20 serious emails and a bunch of reading or jokes, it was a solid 91 emails to read, work through, reply to and take action on.
After getting a cup of coffee, George went to say hello to his team. This took awhile because they had questions and things they wanted to talk to him about which was only natural since he had been out-of-pocket for two days. By 9:15 he was back at his desk, ready to tackle all the messages including the 7 new emails that had come in while he was out.
By 3:00 he had mostly forgotten about his action plan he remembered it only when he saw it in his briefcase. He took it out and looked at it wistfully. He was still committed to working on those items, but they would have to wait, the next project meeting was all day tomorrow. . .
Reviewing the Situation
Perhaps the situation above sounds familiar to you. What is written up to the After the Workshop heading looks good situation: a willing learner, a well designed workshop, and a person leaving excited about his action plan. This story might be a bit too rosy admittedly, not every one who attends training will be as excited and motivated as George, but in the end it doesnt really matter because a highly motivated person like George wont get as much from this effort as he could or even wants to.
Why?
Because while most leadership development programs focus on developing a great training program, that is a small part of the overall likelihood of success. You see, training is an event, but learning (including leadership development) is a process.
We dont learn important, complex life skills in brief instant. In an instant we can get an insight, an aha, and an inspiration. In an event we can get ideas, approaches, checklists and knowledge. But skills come to us over time not in a one shot, one time training course (regardless of how well it is designed or how awesome the trainer is). Skills come with practice and application.
Leadership development is a process and as long as those efforts look like events, the return on those investments will never be high.
Much can be written about specific things that can be done to make the process more effective, but you can start without that list of ideas. Reread the story above. Connect it to your situation and then think of two things you can do to make your leadership development process (whether for yourself or your organization) be more successful.
Not All Website Links Are Created Equal
Years ago, in the early days of the internet, it was not uncommon for internet 'gurus' to council people to place links on FFA lists in order to get traffic. Besides these FFA lists, webmasters were encouraged to get links from classified ads, webrings, link farms and all manner of beasts like these. These links didn't help the average user find useful information faster. In fact, if anything it made it more difficult for people to find what they were looking for.
Years ago search engines were simple by todays standards. Back then you could often achieve top ranking for a particular keyword by simply repeating these keywords over and over again. Early search engines assumed that the more often a keyword was mentioned, the more likely the page was relevant to the topic. This, of course, was not true and search engine companies eventually wisened up to this tactic.
Getting a mass of links from websites that are not relevant to the topic of your website produces little return. It does produce some return on some search engines but very little for the two biggest ones, Google and Yahoo, with Google being the most sophisticated of the two engines. Based on information from a Google patent application released a while back, experts surmise that Google will track a number of factors when determining how to rate the value and authority of the link pointing to your site.
Some of these factors include the topic of the website linking to you. If it is about deer hunting and your website is selling access to a website builder, the link won't count as highly as if it came from another website promoting a website builder or a web hosting company, web hosting directory, etc...
Number of links on a page is also important especially when factoring in Google pagerank. When another website places a link to your page, it will transfer more pagerank to your website the fewer the links on their website. Depending on how much pagerank the other website has, your link may tansfer little or no pagerank back to your website if there are too many links on the page.
Placement of the link on the page is another factor to consider. Advanced search engines like Google are now trying to discount links that are obviously advertisements or paid linking. To this end, links under partner sections, on links pages, on 'partner' pages are being discounted.
So what kind of links should you get? The best kind of links are keyword rich, contextual links within the body of the web page. Links that are relevant to the context of the page are going to get more attention that links that are clearly off topic. Including your targeted keyword between the html anchor tag is also a good idea.
How the Content Can be Treated?
It is a well-known fact that France Soir had been experiencing some financial problems and it was determined and was resolved to attract the attention of the public and mass media representatives around the world. Whereas French paper maintained that the cartoons were harmless and should not be regarded as offensive or derogatory, other Western European newspaper Geram Wielt stated that they regretted that Danish newspaper apologized for publishing of the cartoons. According to these newspapers there is a legitimate right in western society to criticize or laugh at all aspects of religious life, and Islam must not be an exception from the rule. One must recall what scandal such publication caused in Muslim countries and Muslim communities around the world. Such dairy companies as Arla foods lost several million dollars and even fired several workers due to the negative impact of the boycott. Some of the nations even recalled their ambassadors or closed their embassies in the Denmark.
In spite of the fact that such actions might be futile (as the Government could not exercise their control over the independent newspapers in European nations), yet some reactions in Muslim countries should be examined and the most important points of this controversial issue should be studied. In spite of the fact that Government has no power to control the editorial policy of independent newspapers in many instances there are some self imposed restraints in the policy of independent mass media. Few of well-established and reputable newspapers would think to stoop to the level of poorly educated person who derives some perverted pleasure from provoking or offending feelings or beliefs of other people. However, those newspapers that experience either financial difficulties or the lack of readers might republish whatever they would like to in a desperate effort to get the attention of the public and international mass media, and maybe even some copywriter. That is why mild reaction or the absence of the reaction whatsoever is the best option to prevent the republishing of this type of material as they are destined mostly to bring the exact reaction that Danish cartoons brought.
Learning Strategies
Create Anticipation and Curiosity
You learn more effectively with curiosity and anticipation working for you, but how do you create this state of mind? One way is to end each learning session with a question or two clearly in your mind. This creates the sense of anticipation and curiosity that will help you next time you study. It's like a TV show going to a commercial at an interesting moment in the program. You want to stay tuned, to see what happens next.
Prepare To Learn
When you want to learn new material, expose your mind to it as soon as possible, before you even feel "ready," or have time to study. The first stage of learning is the part where you look at new ideas and say, "huh?" Do this quickly, however, reviewing everything for a few minutes, and your unconscious mind will start "incubating" the new concepts, and finding some way to organize them.
Relate What You Know To The New Knowledge
When you sit down to study new material, relate it to what you already know. Compare and contrast things, saying to yourself, "That's like...," or "How is that different from..." Autoresponders were new to me when I started my newsletters, but the concept sunk in and motivated me when I thought, "It's like someone doing all my addressing and mailing for pennies a day." This prompted the important questions, and I was ready to learn.
Use Your Imagination
Changing your perspective is one of the great learning strategies. For example, study with the idea in mind that you will be teaching what you're learning. As you study something, imagine how you'll teach it. This is a powerful way to get a good grasp on new information.
Also imagine how you'll use what you are learning. There's so much information, and so little of it is the truly "important stuff." But by imagining how you'll use the new information, you tend to automatically focus on the things you really need to know.
Take Breaks
You can learn more by working less. The research shows that we remember best what we study first and last in a given session. So, by taking breaks, you create more "sessions," and increase the number of firsts and lasts. Move around during your breaks, as this can also keep your mind fresh.
Finding Time
What if it took no extra time to learn a new language, take a negotiating course, or study something new and interesting? Start using the dead-time in your day, the time sitting in your car, or on the bus, or in a waiting room. Almost any public library has hundreds of books on tape, and you can even instantly download books on the internet.
This is one of the most under-utilised and easiest learning strategies. If your job is 25 minutes away you spend 200 hours per year sitting in your car going to or from work. Could you learn something useful if you had four hours per week of audio instruction for a year? The only extra time it takes is a few minutes to stop by the library.
Of course, almost nothing works just by reading it. Why not scan the list above and start using one or two of these learning strategies right now?
How I Got My Web Site To PR 5 In 3 Months
1. First off in order to get indexed quickly I suggest you put in a tiny classified ad at CraigsList.com, the site is a PR 8 and having a link to your site will get the search engines crawling all over yours. Make sure to only put one ad in and not to spam them because they will close your account. Also make sure to keep an eye on it, sometimes the administration cancels it or it expires.
2. Next I read an e-book call SEO Made Easy by Brad Callen(You can get a FREE copy on my web site listed below). Brad has some wonderful ideas and methods to get to the top of the search engines. I then implemented his ideas and methods.
3. Getting one way links back to your web site is key in getting Page Ranked.
a) Article submission will get you one way links and having lots of them will get your site PRed. So how do you get a link to your site? Well in each article that is submitted you are allowed to put an "About the Author Box", this is where you put your link to your site. Now some of you might find this very time consumming. Well so did I. What I did is got my articles ghost written from JustArticles.com and had them submitted to over 24,000+ publishers at Isnare.com, for about $70.00 US your can get 5 450-600 word ghost written articles from JustArticles.com and 5 distribution credits from Isnare.com which will distribute those 5 articles to the 24,000+ publishers. Now if you don't want to spend the $70.00 on the articles and distribution you CAN do it for FREE. You can of course write your own articles and get article submission software from my website for FREE. But if you do have the money I suggest you do it this way because it is very time consumming. Its very important that you don't submit more than one per week because getting too many links all at once will make the search engines unhappy. Continue to submit one per week for 3 months.
b) Submitting your web site to one way link directories is the other method I used. Again this is time consuming so I bought a piece of software that does this for me. You still have to do it by hand but all the directories are already preloaded in the software. Go here for a copy of the software I'm using: http://www.directorysubmitter.com/
It costs about $97.00 for the software but I'm sure that you will think its money well spent after you see results. If you don't have the money to do this then I guess you'll have to do it the hard way and find the directories and submit by hand.
c) Joining a well known forum is the last thing I did to get one way links to my site. You see most forums have what's called a sig file. A sig file is a perminent signature to every post you make at the forum. I put in a link to my web site and that's it. The only thing left to do is post topics or reply to ones already made. Again make sure you don't spam the forum you join, this will only get your account closed. Make sure you have a relevant topic or reply and you will have no problems.
By implementing these steps I achieved a Page Rank of 5 in 3 months, keep in mind that the search engines are always changing and finding new ways to rank pages. One thing I think will always be important is the amount of one way links back to your web site. I hope these methods will help you achieve your goals and make you money online, I know they have helped my Internet home business immensely.
How to Make More Time for Giving
David Perdew has just written a new book called "Bad Dad: 10 Keys to Regaining Trust", is developing and teaching an online course, makes time for his family, and works a full-time job. Some students in his class have recently stated they don't know how he does it all. I recently talked with David about his "secret." It was no surprise that he has learned what I have.
You need to determine what your values and life purpose are and then spend your time doing those things that are most important to fulfilling them. Everything else should be delegated to someone else or not done at all. If giving to others is high on your list of values, you will make the time to do it more and feel great about it.
I spent the energy to determine my values and life purpose in my mid-forties. Some people might think I was going through a mid-life crisis (or man-o-pause as my friend Nick would call it). You are never too young or old to take your life purpose seriously.
The following two books were very useful to me and I highly recommend them both:
- "The Power To Be Your Best" by Todd Duncan
- "The Purpose-Driven Life" by Rick Warren
If you don't know your life purpose at this point in your life, you need to take the time to discover it. It will be a life changing experience.

The Best Kept Secret In Achieving Success
about accomplishing success. For instance, some people have got the idea that
visualization and is the way to become successful. Unfortunately, People who just
focus on visualize a channel might end up in a state official thinking instead.
However, there is a far better secret toward completion success. Its got nothing
to do with the law of attraction, it has got nothing to do with being able to manage
your emotional states, neither does it have to do with seeking of mentors and
modeling after their successes.
So, you might be wondering what this secret really is.
Have you ever been in a position where you enjoy doing something so much youre
willing to do it without being paid? Im sure you think of that such situations,
and then the practical logic of it all came crashing down on you. It was a fact
that you couldnt do this because you still needed to sustain your own livelihood.
However, think about the fact that it works in the first place. Many people forget
that in order for anyone to accomplish success, their entire being needs to be a
lined with that outcome.
What exactly is alignment? It is that state of being where you feel that everything
is going well for you and that you are mind, body, and soul in agreement to
accomplishing what you were doing. Im sure youve encountered times where
something might pay you very, very well, and still you felt totally trained, totally
unhappy and possibly even dissatisfied with any resulting your competition there.
This is a time where you might say that you were misaligned perhaps. You could have
been working in the place that you were in for the wrong reasons.
How does alignment take place? Well, alignment is a process of discovering your
innermost desires and needs, and ensuring that you are able to fulfill them from a
set of capabilities and behaviors that are already a part of you. Its a little
more difficult to explain it than it is for you to experience it. Think of the
times where you were already aligned. For instance, you had no qualms about doing a
particular thing such as a charity project. Perhaps, you are fully outlined in
helping your best friend to get out of depression. Or perhaps it was something even
simpler helping someone cross the road. Whatever that was, is leaving behind a
certain set of clues that tells you what to make out of your own personal alignment
is. You need to be in the right place, doing the right things, and tapping on the
right skills that you presently have. Moreover, you must believe that what youre
doing is worthwhile to you and the people around you. Like my friend John Di Lemme
likes to say, the reason why you are doing this must be bigger than who you are in
order for you to achieve any sense of fulfillment for success.
Poker Affiliate Program: Top Reasons To Sign Up And Promote
Poker is a game that is enjoyed by millions all around the world. It has been played for centuries and has only grown in popularity. It is an established and hugely popular game, which will no doubt endure for centuries to come.
As such the online poker industry is booming. Where other industries have dropped off or levelled out after initial interest has faded, the online poker companies grow from strength to strength. Due to the phenomenal growth and the huge profit turnovers, there is high demand for advertisers in various guises. Luckily for affiliate programs, they have provided much of the space and have therefore reaped much of the reward.
The online poker industry like all others in the world has their market leaders and the pacesetters. Prominent names have risen like cream to the top, becoming recognisable international companies. Affiliating a Website with such colossal businesses not only maintains their prowess as a competitive site, but also rewards you handsomely. The rewards can be so great that sceptics my think that their was something illegal or immoral about this. But the truth is that it is simply an entrepreneurial pat on the back. Money finally filters down from the huge poker sites, which turnover millions each day giving normal internet users the opportunity to taste a bit of that success. It is unequivocally legal, there are no back handers or laundering deals to be done, it just gives affiliates their share of the profits that a company makes.
Of course not all affiliates taste instant success, even when dealing in an industry as large as the online poker sites. Website owners looking to become affiliates must create interest and generate new players to gain from this scheme. So some effort is required in order to succeed. Like in all businesses you can reap the rewards if you are willing to put in the hours. You wouldn't expect to be paid top brass if you only turned up once a month to work, so why should you in an affiliate scheme. The truth is much of the scheme is also based on luck, but you can help make your own luck by becoming proactive and really selling your site and those of your affiliates. If you fail to attract anyone to a personal site you will make no money is the cold hard truth. Attract many and you could soon be earning a lucrative income from the online poker industry without risking a penny.

Managing The Stress In Your Life
It would be nice if someone created a mathematical formula for stress that would measure how much stress an individual could take without become overwhelmed. Optimal stress levels vary from individual to individual, however, as well as from situation to situation. Some situations that would make you feel very stressful are considered fun and invigorating to someone else. People who love constant change in their lives would feel too much stress in a tedious, mundane job. You can see how different peoples definitions of stress may be. Scientists believe that many illnesses are directly related to stress. If you find that you are sick a lot of the time, or that you feel nervous often, you must develop effective strategies to cope with your stress level. Otherwise, you could be open to serious physical deterioration. Stress management is a practiced art, however. You will not relieve your stress in one day; you must keep at it and eventually, you will discover methods that work for you.
A first step is to learn what things make you stress out. While you may not be able to eliminate these things, you can work to make them more manageable. If cooking dinner causes stress, for instance, you may consider getting take-out food once a week to give yourself a break. If giving a presentation at work worries you, maybe you can learn to focus on just one section at a time and reduce your stress in that way. If commuting to work makes you stressful, leave a little earlier. It will become easier to address your overall stress if you discover the things that cause it and then try to limit their impact.
The next step is to try to reduce your emotional reactions to the things that stress you. You may find that these stressors make you think in a negative fashion, focusing only a situations worst aspects. Try, instead, to think of a stressor as a chance to improve your life. Try to see if you are overreacting to a situation. It may be that every stressor you encounter does not require an urgent response. Maybe you can take some time to study a situation before it bothers you. Think of yourself as in control while you may not be able to do anything about the stressor itself, you can control how you feel about it.
Be sure to be aware of any physical reactions you have to stress. Deep-breathing techniques can help you decrease your heart rate, for example. If you have severe reactions, consult your doctor to determine if medication can help you. You can also reduce your stress levels by making your body stronger. Do aerobic activities three times per week, and make sure you eat nutritious foods. Avoid stimulants like sugar and coffee. And recognize that stress is a part of life. While it cant be eliminated, you can develop coping strategies that will help when you feel overwhelmed.

Fears and Phobias
Charles F. Haanel defines fear as a powerful form of thought. I think it is a very good definition, because mostly fear is in our minds. Phobia is abnormal fear. We are often afraid of things which we have no reason to be afraid of. This is because most of the fears and phobias are only the creations of our minds.
For example some people are afraid of flying. Why? Probably because they have heard about some plane crashes and that all of the people died in those accidents. Of course plane accidents do happen, and usually all of the people who are in such accidents die. But the same people who are afraid of flying are usually not afraid of traveling in cars and on buses. Cars accidents cause many more deaths than airplane accidents. The probability of dieing in the car accident is much higher than in plane accident. Flying is the safest way of traveling. So, why people are afraid of flying? Like with most phobias the reason is that they do not control their minds.
When we listen about different tragedies and unhappy news, a subconscious mind accepts everything which comes from a conscious mind. The subconscious mind is a creator, it makes things happen, but it does not have the power to differentiate between what is good and bad for us. The conscious mind has the power to differentiate, but most of the people often do not use this power.
So, when you listen to news or a story your conscious mind accepts the news and makes a fearful picture of the situation. Maybe even you or your loved ones are in this picture. If the feeling of fear is there and it gets to your subconscious mind, it gets deeply rooted in your sub consciousness and it will be very difficult to get rid of that fear.
Of course there are some techniques to get rid of different fears and phobias. But first you should be careful to not allow any fears or phobias to get to your subconscious mind. Avoid dwelling on any pessimistic and negative feelings. Try to cultivate positive feelings. Be optimistic. Even if you are not happy at the moment, thinking about your unhappiness will not make you feel better. It will make you feel worse.
Think about something that would make you happy, about something you want very much. Close your eyes. Try to visualize yourself in a happy situation, in your perfect environment. Think of the reasons why you want what you want. See yourself as already possessing what you want. Try to really feel it. Let the feeling excites you. Hold on that feeling.
If you do that you cannot feel unhappy. It might be difficult at first, but if you practice often it will become easy and natural for you. You will not only feel better but you will start attracting the things you really want. And by concentrating on positive feelings and by being charged with positive energy you will become immune to any fears and phobias. You will start manifesting the life you want. Now you are what you thought mostly about in the past. Do not allow your negative thoughts to create the unhappy future for you.

The Secret - When You Can Walk On Water , Take The Boat ( Part 5 )
When I could no longer ignore the ringing I finally picked up the receiver, if only to tell the other party that the receptionist would be back later. Hello, I said. A friendly voice on the other end spoke, Hi! Good morning. May I speak with Mr. Seymour, please?
Im sorry, sir. The receptionist just stepped away from her desk for a short while. In fact, I'm awaiting her return, I
said.
Please, could you ask her when she returns to give Mr. Seymour a message for me? he asked.
Why certainly, I said, nervously trying to help.
Pleaseask her to tell Mr.Seymour that Godfrey called. I've been talking with the Wittersham account and they are extremely interested. Mr. Wittersham himself is on his way over and will sign all necessary papers. I agreed to convey his message for which he thanked me and hung up. When the receptionist returned, I gave her the message. She then asked me to follow her and we went into an office where a distinguished looking gentleman was sitting at his desk. He rose and introduced himself. I'm Seymour, he said. Please sit.
Mr. Seymour told me that his company would buy our products if one of his largest accounts, the Wittersham Company, agreed to distribute them. He told me a little about Mr. Wittersham and how the Wittersham Company grew from a small beginning to become one of the largest in its industry. Wittersham, it seemed, was from the old school, conservative, had little patience and was a hard man to deal with. The only topic that he was ever interested in was the sea and he would literally spend hours talking about it.
Mr. Seymour was pleased that I had come. Make sure you tell Wittersham about your early days by the ocean,he said, and all of a sudden the dream ended and I was awake in bed. It was a most vivid dream and thinking about it kept me awake for quite some time.

Anxiety - Americanization ( Part 1 )
"I want you to clean up that island," was the royal order. It was a formidable job for a young man of twenty-odd years. By royal proclamation he was made mayor of the island, and with in a year, a court of law being established, the young attorney was appointed judge; and in that dual capacity he "cleaned up" the island.
The young man now decided to settle on the island, and began to look around for a home. It was a grim place, barren of tree or living green of any kind; it was as if a man had been exiled to Siberia. Still, argued the young mayor, an ugly place is ugly only because it is not beautiful. And beautiful he determined this island should be.
One day the young mayor-judge called together his council. "We must have trees," he said; "we can make this island a spot of beauty if we will!" But the practical seafaring men demurred; the little money they had was needed for matters far more urgent than trees.
"Very well," was the may or's decision--and little they guessed what the words were destined to mean --"I will do it myself." And that year he planted one hundred trees, the first the island had ever seen.
"Too cold," said the islanders; "the severe north winds and storms will kill them all."
"Then I will plant more," said the unperturbed mayor. And for the fifty years that he lived on the island he did so. He planted trees each year; and, moreover, he had deeded to the island government land which he turned into public squares an d parks, and where each spring he set out shrubs and plants.
Moistened by the salt mist the trees did not wither, but grew prodigiously. In all that expanse of turbulent sea --and only those who have seen the North Sea in a storm know how turbulent it can be-- there was not a foot of ground on which the birds, storm-driven across the water-waste, could rest in their flight. Hundreds of dead birds often covered the surface of the sea. Then one day the trees had grown tall enough to look over the sea, and, spe nt and driven, the first birds came and rested in their leafy shelter. And others came and found protection, and gave their gratitude vent in song. Within a few years so many birds had discovered the trees in this new island home that they attracted the attention not only of the native islanders but also of the people on the shore five miles distant, and the island became famous as the home of the rarest and most beautiful birds. So grateful were the birds for their resting-place that they chose one end of the island as a special spot for the laying of their eggs and the raising of their young, and they fairly peopled it. It was not long before ornithologists from various parts of the world came to "Eggland," as the farthermost point of the island came to be known, to see the marvelous sight, not of thousands but of hundreds of thousands of bird-eggs.
Testimonials for Business Success
Here are ten ways you can use testimonials to expand your online business.
Use a snippet on your sales page. This is possibly the most common usage online. There you are, reading the sales copy, when all of a sudden you run into a box with a testimonial. This works well for product-specific testimonials. I used that technique several times here:
http://www.seo-writer.net/books/seo-book.html .
Use a snippet on a separate testimonials page. People who are considering hiring you want to know if you are reliable, and this provides them a sense of security. This is best for overall reputation testimonials, such as the ones I have set up here:
http://www.thehappyguy.com/happiness-quote-testimonials.html.
Use whole letters. Sometimes whole letters are more effective, especially if customers need security, such as when making a large monetary commitment.
Recommend by email. Ezine publishers have a great credibility with their readership. Harness that to your advantage by getting them to make a recommendation to their readership. I don't often make recommendations to my A Daily Dose of Happiness readership, but when I do, people buy.
Get testimonials from users. These are best for product-specific testimonials. Before buying something, I want to know how well it works in real life. Only users can tell me that. Here is an example of where I gave a testimonial as a user This one actually promotes my business:
http://www.resource-a-day.net/memtestimony.html.
Here's another testimonial I gave as a user, but it doesn't promote my business. Why did I do it? Well, for starters, I really enjoyed the play. But also there is a link, and that doesn't hurt my search engine rankings. Plus, some people are bound to click on that link and find my site:
http://www.mwos.org/testimonials.html.
Get testimonials from experts. These are best when you absolutely need credibility on something people might feel skeptical about, especially something requiring a big investment, such as health or money. Here is a good example:
http://www.nutritionstreet.com/kelly.shtml.
Place testimonials on the product. That's what I did on my book, Climb Your Stairway to Heaven: the 9 habits of maximum happiness. Right on the back cover are three book review snippets saying what a glorious and wonderful book it is.
Of course, the ultimate testimonial is media coverage. People say "You just can't believe what you read these days." But busy people don't have time to check everything out, and just assume that what they saw in the media is accurate. Build yourself a media relations plan.
The best testimonials strategy uses a combination of the techniques outlined above. How many of them do you have working for you?
Realities Of Publishing Your Own Book
So lets talk about some of the realities behind publishing your own book. The biggest misconception people have about the process is that the publishing company does the marketing. Untrue. Regardless of the publishing company you use, the responsibility falls squarely on the author. And thats a rude awakening for most aspiring authors.
Marketing is no easy task and the biggest priority of publishers considering your book proposal is NOT the quality of your writing or the brilliance of your idea but your ability to market you own book. Yes, its true. The biggest thing publishers look for when they evaluate book proposals is your audience and your following. They call it your platform and it refers to the activities you do everyday that put you in front of potential buyers.
The best thing you can do to increase the odds of your book proposal getting accepted by a publisher is to build your platform. Whether that includes workshops and seminars, press releases and media publicity, interviews and special events, blogging and podcasting or internet marketing, publishers need to know you have a strategy to promote your book and the tools necessary to pull it off. Indeed, theyre looking for a certain amount of star power.
If you dont have a platform when you submit your book proposal, it wont even get a second glance. Thats why its absolutely imperative to get the process started early. Offer workshops and seminars. Develop a website and build awareness and traffic. Use press releases to announce events or special milestones. Write articles, both online and off. Look for speaking engagements to build credibility and gain exposure. These are the things publishers will favor when evaluating your proposal.
Another misconception about getting a book published is that youll make money in the process. Unfortunately, this is rarely true on the first book. As an unproven author, you wont be able to negotiate a big percentage in the book deal and the marketing campaign will devour most of the profits. The primary objective behind your first book should be to build credibility, gain exposure and validate your abilities as an author, including marketing. If you succeed, youll get a much better deal on your second book and thats where you can start making money.
Publishing a book can be one of the best steps a person can take when developing a business. It sets you apart from the vast majority of others in your field and people will forever more treat you differently. But you also have to be realistic with the process and thats what this article is all about. There is lots of information that can support the development of a platform and the marketing requirements on the Tactical Execution website and I encourage you to take advantage of those resources.
Publishing Options For Freelance Book Authors
GROUP PUBLISHING: Group publishing is the process by which a large company publishes your work in the name of a larger company. For example, large publishing companies often operate smaller publishing companies. The larger publishing company serves as an umbrella over the smaller group publishing companies. Sometimes these companies operate several smaller companies and book imprints that produce different genres of writing and books. Sometimes this is referred to trade publishing. For example, a large publishing group may produce best-selling adult novels, but may also operate under a smaller name to produce certain non-fiction books, cookbooks, children's books, or niche titles. Group publishing is a popular way to publish a book.
EDUCATIONAL PUBLISHING: Educational publishing shares some likeness to trade publishing. These companies deal specifically with educational material. They may deal with only college textbooks, or they might deal with textbooks and materials for grades K-12. Besides textbooks, these companies might also produce other forms of educational material, which include posters, workbooks, CD-ROMS, software, testing material and maps. There are several big name educational publishing companies.
UNIVERSITY PUBLISHING: Better known as the "University Press," this type of publishing is different from group publishing and it is not the same as scholarly publishing. These types of companies are usually non-profit. Universities, colleges and sometimes museums or other organizations operate these publishing imprints. These publishers usually publish books by scholars and other specialists. Besides distributing their books to bookstores, they also make their book titles available within the university system. Sometimes larger trade publishers publish these types of books.
INDEPENDENT PUBLISHING: Independent publishers are often the best way to publish your book with established distribution channels. Independent publishers are generally small, privately-owned companies. Many times, these companies only publish a handful of books each year and they specialize in certain subjects. They have the freedom to publish just about anything they wish.
SOFTWARE and other MEDIA: You might consider software and other types of media as a publishing option. Think about the many e-books, CD-ROMs and digital downloads, many published by large and small publishing companies. These types of publishing companies are often associated with larger trade publishers. In fact, many large publishing companies have their own in-house media publisher to spawn the traditional paperback book into other types of media. Digital and alternate media is a huge, profitable business, and these publishers are just as important and lucrative as the large trade publishers.
As you can see, you can tap into various publishers who might consider publishing your book. If you are unlucky with a large trade publisher or group publisher, then don't give up. Keep looking at the different types of publishing companies until you find one that wants to work with you and your book.

How To IPod Your Car
If your car does not have the ipod connectivity, the solution to ipod your car is to install an ipod adaptor.
An ipod adaptor retailed by companies such as Peripheral and Monster can be installed within the cavern of wires behind your car dashboard, with one prong from adaptor going to the back of your stereo while another prong goes to a ipod holder near the front seats of the car.
The ipod adaptor works like an emulator and tricks the stereo to think it is a CD changer, so that you can use the track buttons on the stereo faceplate to select songs of your choice.
Installing an ipod changer might be difficult for the non-mechanical inclined, and the services of a trained mechanic might be easier.
If your car is too old, the factory installed stereo might not be suitable for ipod integration. For such cars, it is advisable to install a new player from manufacturers such as Alpine, Kenwood and Pioneer.
If sound quality is important to you, the use of ipod cassete adaptors is not recommended as the sound quality is not good enough, and more importantly they do not recharge the ipod's battery.
Yet another solution is to use a FM modulator that can produce better sound, and can recharge the batteries, but cannot be directly controlled from the radio.
With these drawbacks, the ipod cassete adaptor and the FM modulator are not the best options, and it is still the ipod adaptor that is recommended.
To facilitate your personal research and to find out what ipod integration is necessary for the model of your car, there are online catalogues from car audio online websites such as that from Crutchfield.com
So your first step is to determine the ipod integration requirements for your car and get the suitable adaptor. Before long, you can be pumping your ipod tracks through your car stereo and enjoying your favorite songs.

How To Report And Handle Ebay Transaction Problems.
Email Problems.
If you use the Internet a lot, youll no doubt be familiar with the problems eBay can cause, and many buyers and sellers are relying on email to keep them informed about their transactions.
Sometimes, you might find that your emails to a seller bounce you might have the wrong email address, or there could be a problem with their email. This happens especially often when buyers have free webmail accounts at places like Hotmail and Yahoo Mail.
When this happens, the buyer might not know youre trying to contact them. Consider it urgent to contact them in the real world, before they leave you bad feedback. To find out someones real-world contact details, follow these steps: Click Advanced Search near the top of your eBay screen, then Find Contact Information in the menu on the left (under the Members heading). All you need to do then is enter the other users eBay ID and the item number of what they bought.
You might find that the address you end up getting doesnt exist, and the phone number seems to be disconnected, or wrong. However, if you didnt get any working contact information for the buyer, then this means theyve violated eBays contact information policy. You can report them at http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/identity-false.html, and nothing that they do from then on will reflect badly on you.
Be patient, though: Dont send masses of angry emails to someones account: for all you know, they might be having problems with their computer or their Internet connection. Try phoning, and try waiting a while for a response.
PayPal problems.
You might also find that you have problems with people who arent quite sure how PayPal works. For example, they might try to send you money directly and send the wrong amount this means that you need to refund any overpayment and get them to pay underpayment. If your buyer is reasonable, though, this should be an easy enough problem to solve remember that theyre hardly going to refuse to pay the right amount when youve already got some of their money!
If Nothing Helps, Who Do I Report It To?
You need to click Help on the toolbar and then Contact us, to contact eBays customer service. You might find you have better luck with the Live Help function than you do with trying to get sensible responses to emails. PayPal have the same procedure Help then Contact us and offer limited phone support if you need it.
If you run lots of auctions at once, some of your problems might be caused simply by things getting lost and forgotten, because you have no way of keeping track of them. In the next email, well look at how to manage multiple auctions effectively.

Is Blogging Only For Money?
A blog gives an opportunity to everyone to express himself/herself on the Internet. We feel that we are sharing our deepest thoughts with other members of the world. Blogging is bringing the world nearer to each other like never before. In certain cases, a blog is a great therapy for venting out anger, frustration and other negative feelings, which can otherwise damage the psyche. Blogging was never started with the object of making money on the Internet.
Imagine the scenario when the majority of blogs will somehow try to collect content from different sources and hope that their ad gets clicked. Is that not wasting of quality time? Will such blogs contribute to the Internet at all? Who will visit such blogs? Everyone is busy building a blog that makes money, so why should he/she visit other blogs?
A blog can contribute to very lively discussion. A blog can be a great platform to meet people and talk. A blog is a great way to help budding talents show case their work to the world. Let us not make blogs only as a money making tool.
Aspects that aid in controlling oneself in Self Control
But, it is important that an ample amount of rest be taken effectively apply self-control in life. An individual should find ways to relax himself. It may be by listening music, exercise and other things that boost up ones energy levels. This will make it easy for the individual to accomplish his task. For instance, if there is a student who wants to complete a target of completing his entire course in a single day for a particular subject, then he may be studying the whole day. But, this may create a lot of stress on his mind and hamper his ability of learning. So if he would take breaks in between to relax himself then this will reduce stress and improve his productivity.
Self-awareness is the foremost aspect that needs to be dealt with for a successful self-control. This means that one should first analyze ones own personality and figure out his strengths and weaknesses. After this, he should try to resist the temptations that he faces in life in relation to his weaknesses. This is to say that if one loves ice cream and is used to have it everyday, then he should make efforts to limit it to twice a week. This is how a person strengthens up and develops strong will power thereby contributing to self-development.
So we can say that self-control is actually the willingness to reject ones own temptation to a particular thing or a task. This brings us to the next aspect of self-control i.e. strong will power. Our will power makes us take a serious decision to complete a task. Most of us have the tendency to make up our mind for a mission, but due to our laziness or desire for other comforts, we are not able to abide to it. The most common example of this can be exercising in the morning, which we usually give up because we do not want to sacrifice on our sleep. This is where we actually understand the essence of a strong will power. A person with a strong will power will give up his comforts and establish his mission. This will power generally reduces in stressful conditions.
Last but not the least, is the aspect of self-discipline. All these three aspects of self-control are however interlinked. But each of them has a separate role to play. Self-discipline refers to fighting with ones own feelings. In this, one has to discover the actual cause of ones temptation and consciously negating it by getting involved in other interesting activities. This will in turn, develop a strong will power. Analyzing the consequences, that ones actions in future will also help in reducing the urge for the temptation.
An optimistic approach to life will surly take an individual on the path of success as when an individual thinks positively then he will have a healthy body and thereby able to accomplish his tasks in a better way.
Thus, self-awareness, strong will power and self-disciplines together lead to an effective self-control and further to self-development.
Before Da Vince had a Code There was an Antichrist Code
The Blueprint of Deception
The Antichrist is known by many names all related to the same goal of discrediting God, reducing Jesus Christ to an ignoble prophet or do-gooder; but behind the masks there is one central character who has been with mankind from the beginningthe Antichrist spirit, who is Satan himself, spinning his web of lies.
Satans blueprint of deception and plot to destroy the human race can be traced to the ancient writings of Enoch and Adam. Adam had first hand knowledge of Satans intrusion into this dimension and quotes Satan as saying, Inasmuch as we do not know the day agreed upon with you by your God, nor the hour in which thou shalt be delivered, for that reason will we multiply war and murder upon thee and thy seed after thee. This is our will and our good pleasure, that we may not leave one of the sons of men to inherit our orders in heaven (1 Adam and Eve 57:89).
Breaking the Code
"Breaking the Antichrist Code: The Blueprint of Deception", authored by Drs. Eric and Maria vonAnderseck, delivers on its promise to uncover the truth that Satan has tried to hide. This Christian book uncovers the shocking depth of resentment Satan holds against God that directly spawned six thousand years of war upon Adams race. Satans wish to suppress the truth about himself and hide Gods original plan for Adam began the most strategic and successful disinformation campaign humanity has ever known.
Enthralled by the intrigue of mystery, many holy grail industries have arisen, seeking to unlock the secrets of life in many DNA codes. From the astrobiologists who examine microbes from Mars to unlock the mystery of are we alone, to alchemists who seek to escape the curse of death, everyone is looking for the elixir of life. Other such holy grail searches include the hunt for the chalice of the Last Supper, a variation of which hints at a blasphemous royal bloodline to Christ through Mary Magdalene. For centuries, humankind has been influenced by many Arthurian legends that enchant the mind with information that would lead to power over evil. Books like The Da Vinci Code demonstrate how the soul is fascinated with codes, mystery, intrigue, and the possibilities of unlocking a hidden power that can transcend mortal restrictions to experience the God-Code that intuitively rings true about our original creation and potential.
Uncovering the Truth
The authors conduct a complete step-by-step analysis of Satans code of deception that he has used for six thousand years to acculturate the world to his system. Central to their analysis is an examination of Satans psych history. The authors put Satan on the psychologists couch and picked his brain to uncover the truth about his expulsion from heaven and the cause of his madness. What made Satan step outside of the divine order that God had given to him? What prize did God seemingly withhold from him that drove Satan to countermand God and steal the prize for himself? Satan is said to have had his eye on the throne of God. If the throne of God was never promised to Satan, yet Satan aspired it, to whom did God make the promise to share His throne? The spirit of Antichrist dates back to that history. Uncovering the truth about that history also unlocks the mystery of good and evil, the fall of man from the grace of God, our changed reality, the human condition, and the motives of fallen angels intercourse, both spiritual and physical, with the human race.
With apostolic authority and precision apostle Eric vonAnderseck weaves together scriptures from the Bible, the books of Enoch, and 1 Adam and Eve to put together the most comprehensive study of human history ever written, answering deep spiritual questions that have plagued mankind since the dawn of time.
Why Buy A Timeshare?
Many resorts to choose from with the exchange program world wide .
Lock in your timeshare vacation accommodations.
For example: If you purchase a timeshare today at $5,500.00, use it 10 years and sell it at the same price you paid for it originally...you end up with equity.
In contrast: if you rented a hotel room you would have useless receipts. As with most deeded resorts you can rent it , sell it , lend it , exchange it or present it as a gift of precious memories for that special event in your life... honeymoons, anniversaries, family reunions.
Time share makes sense.
Time share vacations are diverse.... from a log cabin next toski.jpg (15090 bytes) a trout stream to an exotic tropical paradise in the South Pacific to the exciting ski slopes of The Rockies, you can be assured that your accommodations are first class .
You don't have to be a millionaire to enjoy luxury vacations. You also get many benefits when you are a timeshare owner, travel agents ,discount air fares ,bonus weeks you can even gift these to your business associates and loved ones for that vacation of a lifetime .
Are you interested in Vacation Resort Ownership?
Here is some basic information you will need to know before you buy a timeshare :
When you buy from an owner there is a TITLE company that will guarantee clear title for you. When you buy from an owner you pay far less than you would if you bought from a DEVELOPER or a BROKER .WHY? you are eliminating the middleman when you buy directly from a timeshare owner.
Types of Time-share Ownership:
Deeded: You will have a recorded "Deed" with this type of ownership. Your period of ownership is forever.
Right-to-Use: This type of ownership is for a set amount of time. After the agreed time of ownership expires, ownership converts back to the Grantor. During your ownership, you can convey your ownership to another party.
Membership: This is not an ownership, it is a "Membership". You pay a large sum of money to buy into the membership plus there are annual membership fees. Be very cautious of this type of Time share. Usually the language in the membership agreement states: if you miss one of the annual payments, your membership will terminate. Some of these memberships can be transferred, some can not.
NOTE: Some Resorts also offer bi-annual ownership. (check your paperwork)
Periods of Time-share Ownership:
Usually your time share period (check-in date) is numbered from 1-52. Week "1" starting in the first week of the year. Week "52" being the last week of the year.
"Floating/ Flex" periods. Which can be divided into Seasons (Blue Floating/Flex) (White Floating/Flex) (Red Floating/Flex). If your ownership is for a Floating/Flex period, you can check-in on different dates according to your ownership.
Blue Season (Good): Also known as "off season". This would be the time of year which the Resort and location is of the least demand. If you own a "Blue Floating/Flex" period, you will only be allowed to check in during these "off season" dates. If you are planning to buy a "off season" week, plan on getting it for a cheap price.
White Season (Better): Also known as "mid season". This would be the time of year which is between "Off Season" and "Peak Season". The time of year right before the "Peak Season" starts and right after the "Peak Season" is over. If you own a "White Floating/Flex" period, you are allowed to check-in during the "mid season" and the "off season" dates. If you are planning to buy a "mid season" week, plan on getting it for a reasonable price.
Red Season (Best): Also known as "high/peak season". This is the time of the year everyone wants to be at the resort (highest demand). If you own a "Red Floating/Flex" period, you can check-in any time of the year. If you are planning to buy a "peak season" week, plan on paying a pretty penny for it.
NOTE: Interval International (an exchange company for timeshare) rates Blue as Green, White as Yellow and Red as Red.
Size of Time-share Ownership:
Studio: A small unit, usually similar to a hotel room. Sleeps two, sometimes four.
One Bedroom: Similar to a small apartment: a living room area, kitchen area, with a private bedroom. Usually sleeps four (two in the bedroom and two on a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room area).
Two Bedroom: Usually sleeps six (two in one bedroom, two in the other bedroom and two on a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room area). Some two bedroom units can sleep eight, if it has a loft.
Lock-Out: These units vary in size, usually divided into two separate apartments. Each with its own living room and kitchen areas. If you own a Lock-Out unit, you can use one and exchange or rent the other. These units can be big enough to sleep eight to twelve people.
Obviously a Deeded two bedroom unit during "Peak Season" would cost a lot more than a Studio unit during "Off Season". Of course, there are other factors to the value of a timeshare unit, but this is the basic frame work of timeshare value.
Costs of Time-share Ownership:
Purchase Price: The amount of money paid for ownership plus any "transfer fees" (can range from $50 to $500).
Maintenance Fees: The amount of money paid annually for maintenance of your unit. This amount can range anywhere from $100 to $700.
Property Tax: The amount of tax to be paid by you for your time share unit. This amount is usually reasonable, ranging from $10 to $100.
Special Assessment: This the amount of money the Resort can require you to pay on a un-regular basis. Usually for a re-modeling project, check your timeshare documents for the max amount they can charge you and how often they can charge you. This amount can range from $20 to $400, you may want to check the Resort history record for past amounts and times.
Time-share Resale:
Why not buy a time share directly from the owner? Buying a time share directly from an owner can save you thousands of dollars....No Commissions, No hidden charges ever!
Looking for Happiness? Stop Looking in Your Neighbor's Yard
The Buddha was the first to recognize that emotional pain can be just as real and debilitating as physical pain. Through careful observation he determined that people were good at spending time on their physical hygiene, but spent little or no time on mental hygiene. He believed that the key to finding happiness was in relieving ones emotional suffering and that the best way to reduce this suffering was by controlling our emotions.
Just as a good mother watches where her children go, the wise man watches where his mind goes. One of the harmful emotions that the Buddha taught we need to watch is envy.
Envy is time spent wanting what our neighbor has instead of time spent enjoying what we have. Now its true that when used properly envy can be a terrific motivator. The problem is that real envy -- always wanting more and then discovering that more still isnt enough -- is difficult to control.
The Buddha taught that the way to achieve happiness begins with turning negative thoughts in to positive ones. The successful landscaper knows that for his lawn to thrive it needs to be weeded and fertilized. The person seeking happiness can begin by following his example and weeding out any negative thoughts and then planting positive ones.
Many people believe that happiness is just a winning lottery ticket away, but true happiness is not based on how much we have, but on how little we need. Happiness is accepting, appreciating and enjoying what the world has to offer. True happiness can only be achieved if we spend more time weeding out envious thoughts rather than in trying to match or better our neighbors lawn.
Just because an elephant is the biggest doesnt mean hes also the best animal in the jungle.
Sometimes it is as simple as taking the time to look back at how far youve come instead of always looking ahead to where you want to be. When was the last time you took a moment to pat yourself on the back for the things you have accomplished?
Besides, maybe your neighbor works harder at his yard than you do, or maybe hes just luckier. Is matching or bettering your neighbors accomplishments really that important? We all get to choose how we spend our time.
Stop looking at your neighbors yard and start enjoying your own, thats what its there for. Weed out the envy and youll find your whole outlook improving. Happy gardening.
The Dirty Dozen: Why We Do Not Want To Face Feelings
1. Feelings Hurt. I recently had a conversation with a friend who some years ago lost her husband, her buddy and best friend. At this point in her life, she would like to have another relationship. However, she knows that she is still grieving the loss of her husband. She talked about a weekend grief seminar that she attended and how much it hurt to bring up the feelings related to her husband's illness and death. Her comment was, "I know that I need to work through some more of those feelings, but it hurts too much!" She is not alone in resisting this. Many people are reluctant to take a look at feelings because it brings the sting of the pain back to their awareness and they feel it all over again. They would rather walk around avoiding these bruises and scars than go through the process to heal them. The only problem with that strategy is that those unresolved feelings are like a brick wall around their life and that wall is stopping many wonderful experiences.
2. I will get Hurt again. All of us have had bumps and bruises in our life. They don't feel good! We often remember that hurt and protect ourselves from being hurt in the future. Why should we put ourselves in a similar situation, again, because we know we will be bruised one more time? The assumption is that we'll be rejected, embarrassed, or fail again and no matter how miserable and stuck we feel, we're going to avoid that possibility. The fear of being hurt or failing is such a big elephant that we can't walk around it. It stops us cold in our tracks! The panic is so huge we can't take a step to overcome it. However, focusing on the unresolved hurt, instead of healing it stops us from trying something new a relationship, job, or our lifelong dream - because we are afraid of being hurt again. So, this is a double-edged sword the fear of being hurt stops us and as a result we stop ourselves from receiving something new in our lives.
3. I want to be Safe. Sometimes we cling to the false belief that past experiences have taught us valuable lessons about being safe. Once hurt never to be hurt again! I've heard several friends comment that they were no longer looking for a relationship, because it just wasn't worth the emotional turmoil. I had a friend who spent 5 years adding 50 pounds to her body as a means to be safe - the logic was that if she were heavier and unattractive, she would not attract another companion and get hurt again. When she decided to take down the brick wall, the 50 pounds also melted away and a new, healthy relationship emerged. Consider that sometimes Safe is more of a personally imposed prison, instead of a shelter or sanctuary. Safe is not Safe.
4. It has become a Habit to avoid feelings, to stuff them. We are creatures of habit unconsciously carrying out the same patterns of behavior just because that is the way we have always done things. We follow the same pattern when we get up in the morning to get ready for work shower, dress, eat breakfast, etc. This also applies to feelings. It becomes an accepted habit to tell ourselves that it's ok if Joe was rude, Mary forgot my birthday, my boss took credit for my idea, or Bob didn't keep his promise. Any one of these things can generate feelings of anger, hurt, rejection, injustice or distrust. How do we deal with these feelings? Do we say, "Oh, that's all right, I know he didn't really mean to do that?" Do we make excuses for the other person's behavior while refusing to acknowledge that there's smoke coming out of our ears because we are so upset? Putting a false smile on our face while seething inside is a habit that is detrimental to our health. Pent-up feelings eventually explode or we become ill because we have stuffed them. Take care of yourself, deal with feelings, and live a healthy life.
5. Feelings are Messy and Out-Of-Control. We don't want to wreck our image. Who wants to be seen as a blubbering idiot? That is soooo not cool! For some, showing feelings, particularly sad or painful ones is not acceptable. For some really cool cats, showing any kind of feelings happy or sad - is not acceptable. Some people go through life in neutral - not being exceptionally happy or very, very sad. They don't allow themselves to experience the extremes either way but choose to stay the middle course where strong feelings don't exist. It's cleaner that way. Everything stays in place and control, like a super tidy house with everything always perfectly in place. In those houses one often wonders where the stuff of everyday living is hidden. Likewise, with people living in neutral, one wonders whom this person is since there is no expression of feelings to indicate likes, dislikes, joy or sadness, or any other feelings exhibited by humans. There is nothing of the wonderful complexity of a human being to share and enjoy.
6. Feelings are Unexpected. Someone trips our trigger, or pushes our button and our emotions rage. We find our anger flaring, our gut in a knot and a string of expressive words roaring out of our mouth. We find we cannot stop the string of words they flow like a flood with such force that we are stunned at the sound of our own voice. We all have trigger points and when the button is pushed we respond as if on automatic pilot. It happens in an instant and the strength of the feeling drives us beyond our usual behavior. There is often a person, a specific situation, or a perceived injustice that serves as the trigger. However, this happens to all of us at one time or another. It is part of being human.
7. Society tells us to be Logical and Reasonable not emotional. Culture has taught to value science, math, logic and reason. We have not been encouraged to notice and value feelings. Many people feel threatened by feelings strongly expressed. This is true whether it's raging anger with yelling and screaming or pure, glorious happiness - beaming with joy. When observing strong feelings, some people are very uncomfortable and dont know how to respond to these extremes. They often don't know how to express their own feelings so they are uncomfortable when others express these strong feelings. This aversion to feeling is like being stuck in neutral feeling little joy, little pain - just huddled in the mundane everydayness of living. In neutral, one loses both the joys and sorrows of living. We are more alive when we feel and express the full range of feelings. Being aware of feelings makes living more intense and sometimes that is the very reason we avoid feelings. We are afraid the magnitude of feeling will overwhelm us.
8. Feelings Interfere With Life one can't work, concentrate, focus, etc. when feelings are raging. Members of my family recently had some health challenges and in the midst of the illnesses I found my concentration lacking, my interest waning and a general inability to function. When one has a concern about the health and well-being of a loved one, the priorities change and what was once important ceases to be of consequence. All that matters is the healing of the family member. This kind of intense feeling is draining, leaving you exhausted and without energy. The ordinary functions of living seem unimportant. In these situations, we can be expected to be pre-occupied and anyone else who has experienced this understands this.
9 We are in a Pity Party. Feeling sorry for oneself has many benefits. It keeps you from really looking at those feelings and doing something about them. Very possibly, it can bring lots of attention from others, who are sincerely interested in helping you to get off the party wheel. For what happens in a pity party is that you don't want to stop the wheel. It is too much fun to go round and round, wallowing in the muck of feelings and maybe blaming someone or something else for the situation. I know this game and have played it sometimes for long periods of time and sometimes I've been strong enough to kick myself in the rear and boot myself out of it. This party is actually not much fun, pretty depressing, and certainly keeps one stuck in the mud. We're so focused on feeling sorry for ourselves that we can't see any options to making the situation better or any way of moving ourselves forward. We are very busy keeping the party alive. However, this is a destructive party and I encourage all to end it.
10. There is a Benefit or Payoff to keeping feelings intact. When we hang onto negative feelings, there is some benefit or payoff that we are getting from doing that. The question is "What is the benefit?" Sometimes being hurt gets the attention of giving people, whereas if we are happy we don't get as much sympathy. Even better, people do things for us they wouldn't do if we were happy. Also, if we believe we don't have the ability to get that degree or a better job, then it keeps us from putting ourselves at risk of failing. We proved we didn't fail, but we also proved that we were too afraid to risk winning. The payoff - it keeps us exactly where we are in comfortable safe territory where we never have to stretch and grow. This lack of decision could be a life-threatening payoff. It could keep us in situations in which we feel no excitement, fulfillment or meaning in our lives. How many times have you seen people who are like the living dead? They are walking through life without living. There is always a payoff for not facing feelings. Feeding the payoff is a fear that is bigger and more powerful than taking steps for positive change.
11. We don't understand the Benefits Of Healing feelings. Anger, rejection, or any other hurtful feelings are rocks that we are dragging through life. Sometimes if we've carried the bruise for a long time, they become boulders that literally stop us from moving forward at all. We shut down our heart, make wimpy decisions, fail to take action, and limit our choices and options. They stop us from fully living our lives. We put on hold our potential for a loving, fulfilling, happy life. Trust me, there are great benefits in healing.
12. We see no Hope of ever healing feelings. If we think we cannot heal them, we will probably not even try. If we believe the hurtful ones are an inevitable part of our life and cannot be changed, that will be our reality. Let's be real life will bring pain and it will bring joy. We can take the feelings from these experiences and use them to grow or we can use them to stop ourselves. Feel it to heal it! Don't drag feelings up from the deep only to let them float in top of the water and sink your boat. Allow them to surface, notice them with the intent to heal them, and process them until they heal. The process outlined in I.M. Heart works. I've lived it. I am in process. Is it always easy, painless, and quick? No, it is a process - just as life is a process but the benefits of staying the course are great.
